SMF teaches traditional crafts, farming with draft animals, and animal husbandry and the skills needed to repair, maintain, and run water-powered mills.
We are guided by a desire to achieve perfection through what can be accomplished by working with one's hands.
Position Summary Sanborn Mills Farm is currently seeking a dedicated and professional housekeeper to join our organization as we expand our overnight accommodations.
You will be responsible for executing a variety of housekeeping duties including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, making beds, washing, drying and folding laundry, dusting, surface cleaning, emptying garbage, and communicating regularly with staff regarding the scheduled cleaning of dormitory rooms.
Attention to detail is a must.
The right person is punctual, thorough, efficient, and takes direction well.
Candidates must be able to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
This is a part time (25-35 hours a week) seasonal position April-November.
Primary Responsibilities Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of floors as needed Vacuum rugs and perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed Dispose of trash from bins and containers Dust and polish furniture as needed Scrub sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets in private and public bathrooms Change and wash used linens such as sheets or towels Make beds and stock dorm rooms with towels Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed Keep all public spaces neat and tidy Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered Manage and maintain proper inventory Requirements and qualifications 3
years of relevant experience Physically able to perform housekeeping duties and stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Attention to detail Organized and able to follow direction Punctual Familiar with cleaning products and record keeping Benefits and Compensation Allowance for workshop attendance under certain conditions Pay is commensurate with experience Job Type:
