Position Description Job Title:
Registrar/ Guest Relations Mission Sanborn Mills Farm's mission is to teach traditional craft and farming methods while sustainably using its field and forest resources for its workshops and events.

SMF expands its traditional farming practices, including draft animal power, growing fruits, vegetables, animals, grains, trees, ornamental gardens, fiber, and other materials for use in making things.
Remaining rooted in regenerative practices our products are used in our community.
SMF teaches traditional crafts, farming with draft animals, and animal husbandry and the skills needed to repair, maintain, and run water-powered mills.
We are guided by a desire to achieve perfection through what can be accomplished by working with one's hands.
Position Summary This is a full time year round position that requires a flexible work schedule with some late afternoon/early evenings and Saturday mornings required.
No holidays.
This position handles online registrations for the adult craft school program with follow through to the customer service level by supporting the guest check in process.
Off-season duties include maintaining development/outreach databases and general office projects.
The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, efficient, and self-motivated.
They should possess a warm and welcoming demeanor, eager to provide customer service in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
Because the in season work hours (April-November) require nontraditional hours, there is some flexibility in report times.

During the off-season (December-March) working hours will be the traditional 8 am - 4 pm day.
Primary Responsibilities Registrar Track workshop registrations, process transfers, cancellations, and waitlist registrations Assist students with registration questions through email and phone calls Invoice students for tuition, housing and meals Track housing requests and accurately assign rooms Prepare accurate weekly registration lists with meal and housing count for the chef and operations manager Advise housekeeping of sold rooms for weekly dormitory readiness Prepare registration desk with documents for student check-in Guest Relations Warmly welcome students as they arrive for their workshops.
Peak times are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 3 pm-6:
30 pm.
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 8 am -9:
30 am Process student waivers, emergency contact forms, and collect materials fees at time of check-in Advise students of workshop location Show overnight guests to their rooms and orient them to the facility Assist guests with questions or concerns that arise during their stay Requirements and qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in related field Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel programs Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to frequently communicate accurate information across teams Ability to move up and down stairs or move quickly based on guests needs Positive attitude and enthusiastic about the farm's mission An interest in craft is desirable but not require Candidates must be able to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
